SONAKSHI GANDHI (SHE/HER)

Sonakshi Gandhi is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in independent practice. She works with adolescents and adults across diverse backgrounds, offering a deeply attuned and confidential space for psychological exploration and healing.

Her work is integrative and nuanced, grounded in trauma-informed care and shaped by a relational and attachment-oriented perspective. Drawing from Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance-based approaches, EMDR, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), she tailors each therapeutic process with care and precision to the individual.

Sonakshi’s approach is rooted in the understanding that emotional struggles often emerge within the context of one’s lived experiences and relationships. Therapy, in her practice, is a thoughtful and collaborative process—one that allows for depth, reflection, and meaningful change.

She holds an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from the Institute of Human Behaviour and Allied Sciences (IHBAS), Delhi, and a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Delhi.

Over the years, she has worked extensively with individuals, couples, and families navigating complex emotional landscapes, life transitions, and relationship dynamics, with a focus on fostering clarity, resilience, and a more grounded sense of self.

With a strong belief that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, her approach to therapy is  flexible and tailored to each individual, drawing primarily from psychodynamic and client-centred frameworks, while also incorporating tools from other modalities where appropriate. She is committed to working through a trauma-informed lens, holding space for her clients with sensitivity, safety, and respect for their lived experiences.

At the core of her practice is a deep investment in reflective work. Sharmila aims to create a therapeutic environment where clients are gently encouraged to look inward, question familiar patterns, and rewrite their narratives with greater self-awareness and agency. For her, therapy is a space where insight and empowerment emerge not from fixing, but from understanding and re-owning what has long been held in silence.
