THERAPY

Individuals, Couples & Families

Therapy can help reduce your suffering and increase the positive qualities in your life. When a mental health issue comes up, you may find yourself instructing you to “get over it” and feeling stuck when you can’t. Talking with a psychotherapist can help you feel and get better. We can't change difficult situations of the past, but we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life.

By applying therapy approaches and techniques, we will identify and understand long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.Coming to therapy is an opportunity to learn concrete ways to move forward. Some people learn coping and problem solving skills that immediately help them manage guilt, shame, doubt, sadness anxiety or despair.  These skills can also improve relationship difficulties and increase stress management.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, therapy can help you to achieve your goals. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and a good therapeutic environment provides a supportive, empathic space and active listening. It takes courage to be vulnerable and it can be challenging or uncomfortable at times to discuss your difficulties with a therapist. A therapist attends to your emotions, behaviours, thoughts, and your ways of relating to others so that new insights can be explored in a non-judgmental space.
